Nursing Student Chronicles
This is my quest to being able to sign 'RN' after my name.

Behind the Keyboard

I am nineteen years old and married to my best friend. I’ll just go ahead answer the most common questions that usually follow after telling someone this fact- no one likes beating around the bush.

-Yes, I do realize how old/young I am.

-No, I am not pregnant nor have I been pregnant in the 1yr+ time of our relationship.

Born near Los Angeles, moved to North Carolina at 15 right after meeting one of my closest guy friends. Met my soulfriend right after arriving in NC and my future roommate later that year. There was this cute guy I spied Junior year and started dating him after graduation. Went to a 4 year college as a film major for a semester before moving back home and getting married. Was then accepted into an extremely competitive 2.5 year nursing program which I’m suffering through now.
I am a student nurse with a part-time job in the Pediatric ICU. Residing in North Carolina with my amazing husband in our first home. He’s is probably the only reason I’m [somewhat] sane. We have two kittens that are adorable. And sometimes not so adorable.
I laugh at the thought of free time. The amount of reading assigned is hellacious. I like dancing and video games. Fishing is fun also.

My friends and family are my rocks. Hypocrisy and arrogance are two of my biggest pet peeves although there are many. I’ve also been told I’m sarcastic, but that’s a lie.

Basically: I’m a nursing student and this is my blog.
And I’m a hoot.

  1. I believe I have heard about you from a mutual person who loves you to bits – hello to the Saffer you are married to, please tell me he isn’t teaching you Afrikaans!?

Thanks for the comment, you’re on my reader *grins*

  2. Amber sent me. It is nice to meet you.

  3. I hope he is teaching you Afrikaans! Hum… At least the swearwords. Need something to throw at people with a smile when they get under your skin. And they’ll think you are complimenting them.

More seriously – don’t ever let the age thing bug you. I would have married my wife even earlier if I met her earlier. I knew it from day one. You are ready when you meet the one.

  4. You are just the coolest thing ever!!!!!!!! I am so glad that I got to share the concert with my two “babies”. :-) I adore you. But you knew that, right?

  5. hi! I just applied to an accelerated BSN program and am waiting to see if I got in….and I also live in North Carolina! I just found your blog and can’t wait to read more!

  6. Hey, I married at 22. Now I’m 29 and have four kids. Trust me, the age thing won’t go away until you’re like thirty-freaking-two years old. People are so weird these days about marriage and family.
